“Better, not bigger.” Five Questions for Taos’ New COO John Kelly

June 10, 2023

In April, Taos Ski Valley Named John Kelly its new Chief Operating Officer. Powder Magazine sits down with him for a few questions.

From the feature:

“Every season brings its own unique and dynamic challenges. The ability to adjust and adapt to those new challenges, in order to create a great experience for our guests and staff, is one of the reasons we all love working in the ski industry. A key part of our vision is to be better, not bigger, so we’re constantly striving to create a more elevated skier experience while also balancing our independence, our environmental commitment, and our community responsibility. This is a constant challenge and one we work towards every season. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished to be the industry’s first and only B Corp-certified ski resort, and to achieve CarbonNeutral® certification, but it’s not enough.”
