The free family programs are one of the best reasons to stay here. Some are guided, like nature walks and a rock climbing wall, but your family can do others, such as painting at the craft center, at your leisure. You could go from morning to night for a couple of days and not have any repeats”

“A winter wonderland, YMCA of the Rockies—Snow Mountain Ranch entertains families with an incredible dog-sledding experience plus Nordic skiing, sleigh rides, snowshoeing and ice skating. It’s a quick drive to Winter Park Ski Resort, which offers more mountain fun. The snow sticks around a long time—in summer, Snow Mountain Ranch still maintains a tubing hill. In warmer months, you can take the kid’s fishing or zip lining on the property. A seasonally operated yurt village is another reason to visit from June to October.”
